Our goal is to cultivate a dynamic culture of innovation that equips students with the essential skills needed for the digital economy and the future world of work. Additionally, we’re bridging gaps in cultural understanding to enhance community relations.

Our “Co-Designing Profession-Based Learning in Caldwell County” project is geared towards equipping education, business, and community leaders with the technical and human skills required to prepare students for the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Through intentional collaboration, we’re designing innovative learning experiences that empower students for life and workforce demands. This unique partnership between educators from middle schools, high schools, and community college with business, non-profit, and government leaders in Caldwell County has resulted in some remarkable opportunities for students.
Know Your Neighbor is a phase of the Innovation Moves Caldwell initiative intended to lay the groundwork for equity-based innovation in Caldwell County, North Carolina. The project was a partnership between Google, Caldwell County Schools, and CCC & TI.
There were three main aspects of the project, which intended to gather data about how county residents of diverse backgrounds perceive access to opportunity, capture video interviews of community leaders representing different identities, then use these data gathering efforts to define problems and design an action plan that addresses the perceived needs of the community.
